Searching for books
Use the Discover page to search Google Books by title, author, subject, or ISBN. Switch the search type dropdown to narrow your results, or use Advanced Filters to sort by newest.
Adding books
Add a book from a search result with one click, or use "Add Book" in My Library to enter a title manually — useful for books not indexed by Google Books.
Editing and deleting
Open any book's card menu in My Library to edit its details or remove it from your collection. Deleted books are soft-deleted and can be recovered via the API's restore endpoint.
Tracking progress
Set a reading status and progress percentage on any book. Your dashboard and statistics update automatically as you read.
Using filters & sorting
My Library supports filtering by status, favourites, category, author, and rating, plus sorting by title, author, date added, publication year, rating, or progress.
Importing & exporting
Export your library as JSON anytime from the Import/Export page. Import a previous export using Merge (skip duplicates) or Replace (start fresh) mode.
Themes
Switch between light, dark, or system theme from Settings or the toggle in the header. Your preference is saved to your account once signed in.
Frequently Asked Questions
I forgot my password. What do I do?
Password reset via email is not yet available in this build. Please contact support or your administrator to reset your password directly in the database.
Why can't I find a specific book?
Discover relies on the Google Books catalogue. If a title isn't indexed there, add it to your library manually from the "Add Book" button.
Is my data private?
Yes. Every book, note, and rating is scoped to your account only and is never shared with other users.
Can I use Mystic Library offline?
You can continue browsing previously loaded library data, but discovery, imagery, and saving changes require a connection to the backend.
